About the role

St. Louis Children's Hospital is nationally renowned for its exceptional newborn care, combining leading medical practices with a commitment to caring for the whole family. Night Hours - Can be a combination of 8, 10 or 12hr nights. One 12 hour night (7pm to 7am) required once a week for Leader Resource & Patient Facing Shift. Will have direct reports. On-call Rotation for Weekends & Holidays. Full-time Benefits. Magnet Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates patient care, personnel management, maintenance of equipment, equipment purchased, and statistical accumulation.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
  • Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Makes nursing assignments as well as assign overtime.
  • Interviews staff for open positions; evaluates and conducts performance reviews as assigned; drafts and issues corrective actions/coaching; follow up regarding any disciplinary action to determine compliance.
  • Responsible for staff productivity and the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations on areas of improvement if needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • 2-5 years of RN experience in Neonatal ICU

Qualifications

  • BSN strongly preferred
  • 2 years of RN experience in Neonatal ICU

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Pay

$84,240.00 - $128,419.20 / year (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience)
