Responsibilities

  • Supports managers/directors on larger units.
  • Works on ground support for frontline staff and assists in direct patient care as needed.
  • Serves as professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource.
  • Models core culture and safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and implement high reliability principles.
  • Facilitates implementation of change management, performance improvement, and strategic initiatives in assigned areas.
  • Supports mission and vision of the organization and adheres to BSMH policies.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact.
  • BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting).
  • Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees and the requirements for those specific units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Nursing.
  • 2 years nursing experience with 1-year minimum clinical experience in the acuity level of desired area (preferred).
  • Charge nurse or management experience (preferred).
