Responsibilities
- Supports managers/directors on larger units.
- Works on ground support for frontline staff and assists in direct patient care as needed.
- Serves as professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource.
- Models core culture and safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and implement high reliability principles.
- Facilitates implementation of change management, performance improvement, and strategic initiatives in assigned areas.
- Supports mission and vision of the organization and adheres to BSMH policies.
Requirements
- Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact.
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting).
- Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees and the requirements for those specific units.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing.
- 2 years nursing experience with 1-year minimum clinical experience in the acuity level of desired area (preferred).
- Charge nurse or management experience (preferred).
