Dynamic Shift Leadership

Orchestrates unit operations through a rotating schedule, providing essential leadership presence during day, evening, and night blocks (including 3pm–11pm and 7pm–3am) to support 24/7 clinical continuity.

Front-Line Staff Mentorship

Supervises and mentors nursing staff across all shifts, delivering real-time coaching and performance evaluations to ensure high clinical proficiency in a Level III environment.

Quality & Process Integration

Collaborates with department leadership to implement quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements, ensuring patient care standards are met during peak-activity hours.

Tactical Resource Coordination

Manages real-time staffing schedules and patient access through active delegation, maintaining smooth workflows and addressing immediate operational needs as they arise.

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education Required: professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

  • BSN
  • 3 years of prior Labor and Delivery experience
  • 2 years of Charge or Leadership experience
