Responsibilities
- Assists with supervising and coordinating the administrative and operational activities in the assigned areas.
- Collaborates with interprofessional team to ensure safe and effective care delivery while promoting a culture of excellence.
- Leads a team of nurses and clinical support.
- Serves as professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource.
- Models core culture and safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and implement high reliability principles.
- Facilitates implementation of change management, performance improvement, and strategic initiatives in assigned areas.
- Supports mission and vision of the organization and adheres to Bon Secours Medical Health (BSMH) policies.
Requirements
- Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required).
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting).
- Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees and the requirements for those specific units: PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, National Board Certification Specialty, or designated specialty certification (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (required).
- 2 years nursing experience with 1-year minimum clinical experience in the acuity level of desired area (preferred).
- Charge nurse or management experience (preferred).
Qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact, BLS Basic Life Support (preferred), PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, National Board Certification Specialty, or designated specialty certification (preferred).
- Education: Bachelor of Science Nursing (required).
- Experience: 2 years nursing experience with 1-year minimum clinical experience in the acuity level of desired area (preferred), charge nurse or management experience (preferred).
