Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Room

About the role

Provides leadership and manages patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring quality service aligned with departmental goals. Responsible for supervising staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development. Oversees staffing, budget adherence, and operational efficiency, including managing productivity and resource allocation. Coordinates patient care plans based on assessments and medical treatments, ensuring documentation compliance. Handles staff scheduling, payroll, and disciplinary actions, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensures equipment maintenance and manages inventory and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets
• Coordinate patient care according to individual needs and medical plans

Qualifications

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
• 2-5 years of nursing experience, with 5-10 years preferred for advanced roles
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage staff performance and operational objectives effectively
