Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Role Overview

This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and tracking departmental statistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance, and support staff development to meet operational goals.
• Assist in developing departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring adherence to financial objectives.
• Provide and oversee patient care, ensuring interventions are age-appropriate and documented properly.
• Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll updates, and performance reviews; handle disciplinary actions and coaching.
• Ensure staff productivity aligns with departmental goals and conduct performance evaluations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree with RN licensure; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience ranges from 2-5 years for basic roles, with 5-10 years and supervisory experience preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
