Assistant Nurse Manager - Cardiothoracic Surgery
About the role
The ANM will oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in the clinical setting, coordinate activities to ensure quality and safe patient care, anticipate and resolve patient care and personnel issues, assure maintenance of annual staff competencies and continuing education, perform duties of the RN Ambulatory as needed, collaborate with Care Coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transition of care, participate and/or coordinate committees, task forces, continuous improvement activities and department leadership meetings, and assume responsibilities of the Clinical Manager as needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in the clinical setting.
- Cover everything from assisting with care activities to monitoring daily outpatient operations.
- Assure maintenance of annual staff competencies and continuing education.
- Collaborate with Care Coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transition of care.
- Participate and/or coordinate committees, task forces, continuous improvement activities and department leadership meetings.
- Assume responsibilities of the Clinical Manager as needed.
- Maintain daily operations of outpatient clinics.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross.
- Two years of RN experience.
Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred.

Minimum hourly: $39.50
Maximum hourly: $59.60
