Job Summary
Up to $15,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months
Position Summary
Captures, plans, organizes, implements, and monitors nursing care of the adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient as applicable in accordance with departmental philosophy and objectives. Facilitates communication and continuity of care for patients, accepting accountability for daily operations of their respective units when on duty. When delivering patient care:
- Provides high quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process
- Assumes the responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members
- Directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided
- Utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act
- Reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum: Graduate of an accredited RN program
- PREFERRED: BS
Experience
- Minimum: 1 year nursing experience in unit of expertise
- PREFERRED: Management experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS, PALS, NRP certifications
About the Role
The Assistant Nursing Manager (ANM) - Med Surg Tele position is responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring nursing care of the adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient as applicable in accordance with departmental philosophy and objectives. This role facilitates communication and continuity of care for patients, accepting accountability for daily operations of their respective units when on duty. The ANM coordinates and manages the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. They also assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the patient's and family members' needs. The ANM directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. They utilize evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adhere to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act.
