Job Description
Overview
- Directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas.
- Ensures the competent delivery of quality patient care.
- Implements, educates, and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Ensures safe, high quality, cost-effective patient care is being delivered by the RN and patient care support personnel they are responsible to supervise.
- Takes patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Preferred: BSN
- Experience:
- Minimum two years as a staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Certification/Licenses/Registrations:
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- ACLS (AHA) and EKG Certified
- Other Qualifications:
- Basic Computer Skills
