Job Description

Overview

• Directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas.
• Ensures the competent delivery of quality patient care.
• Implements, educates, and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public.
• Ensures safe, high quality, cost-effective patient care is being delivered by the RN and patient care support personnel they are responsible to supervise.
• Takes patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Preferred: BSN
• Experience:
• Minimum two years as a staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Certification/Licenses/Registrations:
• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification
• ACLS (AHA) and EKG Certified
• Other Qualifications:
• Basic Computer Skills
