Assistant Nurse Manager, Adult ED, 7a-7p

Responsibilities

• Serve as a professional nurse leader with daily operational responsibility for a patient care area/department, focusing on safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to create and maintain a financially stable unit.
• Promote self and staff development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education, supported by a Practice Governance framework.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed staff members.
• When assuming a direct care role, assess, develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
• Apply educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care and mentoring/precepting staff.
• Ensure the Swanson Theory of Caring and patient/family-centered care are the foundation for nursing practice.
• Involve staff at all levels in resource allocation, interdisciplinary activities, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Required: One year as a Registered Nurse.
• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Required: Registered Nurse (KY) license.
• Desired: Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
• Desired: Master Degree in Nursing.
• Desired: Doctorate Degree in Nursing.
