Assistant Neighborhood Construction Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Neighborhood Construction Manager (ANCM), you’ll start your day on-site before the usual office staff, serving as the second in command for quality control, scheduling contractors and trade installations, and ensuring the site is clean, safe, and working efficiently. You’ll support the Construction Manager by ordering building materials, reviewing and confirming selections for each home, and collaborating with sales, purchasing, and construction teams to deliver homes on time and to Stanley Martin’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control and scheduling of trade installations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient job site
• Order building materials and review home selections
• Build relationships with homeowners, trade partners, and internal teams
• Use technology and software systems (e.g., MS Office) to manage projects independently

Requirements

• Eagerness to learn construction management skills
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
• Active listening, confidence, and respect in communication
• Customer service experience
• Ability to quickly learn new technology
• Proven project management skills
