Assistant Neighborhood Construction Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Neighborhood Construction Manager (ANCM), you’ll serve as the second in command on-site, focusing on quality control, scheduling contractors and trade installations, and ensuring the site remains clean, safe, and efficient. You’ll support the Construction Manager by ordering building materials, reviewing home selections, and collaborating with sales, purchasing, and construction teams to deliver homes on time and to Stanley Martin’s standards.

This fast-paced role offers variety each day, with opportunities to build relationships with homeowners and trade partners while advancing toward a Neighborhood Construction Management position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control and trade installations on-site.
• Schedule contractors and manage daily workflow to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized construction site.
• Order building materials and confirm selections for each home.
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and construction teams throughout the building process.
• Build relationships with homeowners and trade partners.
• Use technology and software systems (e.g., MS Office) to manage projects independently.

Requirements

• Eagerness to learn construction management skills and advance to a Neighborhood Construction Manager role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple homes under construction.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Active listening, confidence, and respect in communication with others.
• Customer service experience or mindset.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree.
• General understanding of the construction process.

Pay

$64,100.00 to $72,800.00 annually plus bonus.
