ASSISTANT MEN’S SOCCER COACH

About the Role

Belmont Abbey College, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Conference Carolinas, seeks an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach for a full-time, twelve-month position. The successful candidate will work closely with the head coach to support all aspects of an established collegiate soccer program.

Responsibilities

• Individual and small group goalkeeper training
• Recruitment of qualified student-athletes
• Monitoring academic progress toward a degree
• Competition and practice preparation
• Individual and program development
• Facility maintenance
• Community engagement and other assigned duties
• Adherence to all NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and Belmont Abbey College rules and guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of one year of collegiate soccer coaching experience
• Commitment to the mission of Belmont Abbey College, including educating students in the liberal arts and sciences to glorify God in all things
• Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes aligned with the institution’s Catholic and Benedictine mission and character
• Understanding and appreciation of the College’s Catholic approach to education and Ex corde Ecclesiae
• Skills, attitudes, and character that foster the development of mind, body, and spirit in students, staff, and the community
