Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach

About the role

The Assistant Coach of Men’s Volleyball will assist in overseeing all aspects of operating a successful college level intercollegiate athletic program. All responsibilities will be under the leadership of the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics. This is a part-time position located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities

• Assist student-athletes in obtaining spiritual growth and track academic progress.
• Provide appropriate advice and assistance to help ensure the success of each student-athlete’s spiritual development and completed stated program of study.
• Instruction of student-athletes – teaching sport-specific skills, tactics, and techniques required per team and individualized workouts, practices, and games.
• Report any known or suspected violations of the NCAA and/or university rules by head coach, assistant coach(es), student-athletes, staff, etc. promptly to the Director of Athletics.
• Assist in organizing and supervising all practices, games, and other workout sessions for the team.
• Assist head coach in the instruction and coaching of student athletes.
• Evidence of a thorough understanding of the rules and regulations governing intercollegiate competition and adhering to the rules and standards established by the NCAA.
