Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach

About the Role

Midway University is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach to join our Men's Volleyball program. Working closely with the Head Coach, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in recruiting talented student-athletes, providing skill instruction, offering academic support, and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to University and NAIA policies and procedures.
• Assist in administering the volleyball program, including recruiting, budgeting, travel, and tournament preparations.
• Support the Head Coach and administration to ensure all team members complete required eligibility forms prior to participation.
• Coordinate and evaluate coaching/training sessions, applying effective principles, techniques, strategies, and methods to develop sport proficiency; observe student-athletes during practice to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding office and team-related issues.
• Assist in driving vans to and from tournaments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is highly desirable.
• Ability to coach and recruit skilled student-athletes is preferred.
• Must pass a background and driving record check.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
