Assistant Volleyball Coach for Men

Responsibilities
- Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes.
- Perform duties in all areas of the program at the direction of the head coach, Athletic Director, and/or sport supervisor.
- Develop, in conjunction with the head coach, planning of practice sessions and competitive coaching situations.
- Assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of athletes in to the program; includes contact by telephone and mail; off campus evaluations; on campus visits.
- Develop scouting reports and pre-competition evaluations of opponents.
- Make recommendations in regard to fund raising, promotion and marketing, special projects, clinics and camps.
- Monitor, in conjunction with the head coach, the academic progress, the conditioning, and the training of the student-athletes.
- Show commitment to and responsibility for adherence to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference, the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association and the NCAA; pass the NCAA certification examination on an annual basis.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree by date of employment.
- Successful competing and/or coaching experience.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- At least three years of collegiate coaching experience.

Schedule
Ball State University offers a 10-month position or one with Burris or Indiana Academy.
