Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

About the role

Responsible for assisting the Head Men's Basketball Coach in the management of the men's basketball program as they compete competitively in NCAA Division III athletics while providing an educational environment which enhances the development of the whole student-athlete.

Responsibilities

• Create a culture of compliance with NCAA rules and regulations as well as New England Women and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and WPI university policies and procedures
• Aid in developing team and individual strategies to create an environment of success through effective teaching of technical and fundamental skills in the areas of basketball
• Aid in recruiting prospective student-athletes committed to academic and athletic excellence
• Aid in establishing ways to ensure success for all team members academically, athletically, and socially
• Aid in maintaining a strong connection with the men's basketball alumni group through communication and relationship development
• Aid in managing the program's operating and fundraising budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience

Salary

$44,200 – $45,700 per year (depending on experience)
