Job Duties
- Instruct and teach the fundamentals of basketball technique and strategy.
- Assist with the recruitment of student-athletes.
- Travel planning and coordination.
- Transportation of student-athletes, as necessary.
- Equipment maintenance.
- Facilities maintenance.
- Coaching: possessing the technical knowledge and teaching skills to prepare basketball student-athletes for competitions.
- Recruit prospective student-athletes to participate in basketball.
- Ensure compliance with both national and collegiate policies.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Prior coaching experience.
- A commitment to knowing and complying with NJCAA, TCCAA, and institutional rules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of intercollegiate sports operations.
- Ability to travel extensively during the recruiting process.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and diverse university setting.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of physical activity such as running, walking, moving equipment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing at times.
- Prolonged screen time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Pay
$21.53/hour (Up to 29 hours/week)
