Assistant Medical Director – Hospital Medicine (AMD) supporting the HM director in leading the hospitalist program and ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered inpatient care. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities focused on operations, quality improvement, physician engagement, and care coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient care as a practicing hospitalist.
• Assist in overseeing daily hospital medicine operations and clinician scheduling.
• Support quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support hospitalists and advanced practice clinicians.
• Collaborate with nursing, case management, and medical staff leadership to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and clinician performance management.

Qualifications

• Previous physician leadership experience.
• Experience with quality improvement, throughput, and healthcare operations.
