Assistant Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment and other power equipment
• Lubricate and service all equipment
• Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments where necessary
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs and their components
• Inspect, change and repair tires
• Absorb and assist in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff
• Clean working areas after repair work is completed
• Assist in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of the golf course equipment
• Operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment as needed
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school
• Must have 2+ years of experience with small engine repairs and maintenance
• Must have a valid driver's license

Other Qualifications

• Must be a quick learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
