About the role
The Assistant Managing Partner will oversee both the kitchen and front of house operations, ensuring a consistent exceptional guest experience. The position requires a proven track record in managing diverse teams and maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Manage all BOH operations, including food preparation, inventory, and equipment maintenance, ensuring a safe and impressively clean kitchen environment.
- Food Quality: Ensure all menu items meet high standards, with a commitment to scratch-made food and attention to detail.
- Guest Experience: Champion hospitality by ensuring guest needs are consistently met and expectations are exceeded, creating a welcoming and memorable experience.
- Local Store Marketing: Support and execute local store marketing initiatives to build community connections and drive guest traffic.
- Team Management: Hire, train, and schedule team members to maintain proper staffing levels and meet operational needs across both BOH and FOH.
- People Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of growth and accountability while identifying and cultivating future leaders.
- Financial Accountability: Manage food costs, labor, and overall operational efficiency through effective planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Recipe Adherence: Ensure all recipes are followed precisely, with correct portioning, prep weights, and production tracking.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Shift Excellence: Lead shifts with a focus on food quality, speed, hospitality, and safety, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate Mystery Shop and Damn Good Restaurant Assessment results, implementing action plans for improved guest experience and operations.
- Training & Development: Work with team members to ensure they are properly trained, certified, and consistently developing their skills.
- Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a fast-paced environment, including both kitchen and guest-facing operations.
- Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams while maintaining high operational and hospitality standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and restaurant operations best practices.
- Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
- Proficiency in managing budgets, schedules, and inventory.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish, a plus.
