The Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at Applegreen USA's travel plazas. Responsibilities
- Deliver performance feedback and set goals
- Foster teamwork and communicate business objectives
- Supervise non-management associates, assign tasks, and focus on operational performance
- Coach and develop shifts supervisors
- Perform duties in the absence of the general manager
- Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during low morale periods
- Address issues promptly and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain awareness of brand standards and protocols to enhance relations with landlords and employees
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, inviting, and adheres to brand guidelines
- Manage cash accurately and report daily
- Resolve customer issues and build positive relationships
- Perform spot inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
Requirements

- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Two years of experience in quick-service restaurants or similar management roles
- Basic food safety knowledge and practices
