About the role
The Transaction Due Diligence Assistant Manager position offers an opportunity to join a diverse and experienced team within EY's Transaction Advisory Services Practice. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of high-profile transactions by providing financial and strategic transaction assistance.
Responsibilities
- Support in executing financial due diligence procedures on the Target company, including understanding and analyzing profit drivers and trends, challenging assumptions of future financial performance, analyzing working capital and cash flow drivers, and analyzing the balance sheet in the context of a transaction.
- Gain exposure to identifying deal risks and upsides and issues impacting deal valuation.
- Analyse financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management.
- Prepare/evaluate pro forma financial information.
- Identify issues for purchase price reductions, deal structuring, or deal termination.
- Evaluate effects of seasonality on cash flow requirements.
- Perform industry and company research.
- Correlate due diligence findings with client valuations.
- Manage expectations of service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting and/or related major.
- CA(SA) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
