Assistant Manager - Operations Excellence

About the role

The role involves designing the optimum DC layout and operation solution based on business requirements, meeting service level agreements, and staying within the overall cost budget. This includes comparing and evaluating different solutions from a financial aspect, conducting data collection and analysis, and demonstrating solutions via CAD, PPT, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design the optimum DC layout and operation solution based on business requirements
• Compare and evaluate different solutions from a financial aspect
• Conduct data collecting and analysis, and demonstrate solutions via CAD, PPT, etc.
• Communicate solutions internally and present to customers if needed
• Survey the latest logistics technology and implement it into solutions
• Plan and recommend investments to achieve sustainable cost savings and process efficiency improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or an equivalent field
• At least 5 years of logistics-related working experience, with at least 3 years focused on solution design
• Working experience in a logistics consulting company or 3PL is an advantage
• Working experience in supply chain design or transportation/courier management is an advantage

Skills and Knowledge

• Understanding of logistics requirements and ability to transfer them into solution design
• Passion for process analysis, data analysis, MHE evaluation, and solution design
• Mastery of warehouse solution design methodology
• Knowledge of e-commerce DC operations and e-commerce-related warehouse management systems
• Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD and Visio
• Advanced Excel and VBA skills are an advantage
• Second foreign language and financial knowledge are an advantage
• Exposure to topics such as storage mediums, material handling equipment, space analysis, and more
• Strong independent analytic thinking and ability to present ideas in a logical and proven way
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with the ability to work under intense pressure
• High energy and motivated personality
