Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the donor center in the absence of the Director of Center Operations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to product quality, donor safety, and employee safety.
- Collaborate with center leadership to develop action plans that maximize center efficiency.
- Manage all personnel functions, including hiring, work assignments, training and development, disciplinary actions, termination, and maintenance of personnel records.
- Determine and adjust inventory levels of goods and supplies necessary for donor center operations.
- Construct and submit timely, accurate reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, or as-required basis.
- Develop and implement active donor recruitment advertising campaigns to improve production levels.
- Manage and develop talent within the donor center, including participating in the selection of new staff.
- Participate in interviewing and selecting center staff.
- Work collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals, resolve conflicts proactively, and maintain open communication.
- Provide timely performance feedback and initiate disciplinary action when necessary.
- Participate in the evaluation and review of center staff.
- Direct and monitor the performance of outside vendors.
- Maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, including Standard Operating Procedure Manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal company procedures.
- Understand and adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures, including any future updates.
- Maintain open communication with management and a positive, professional demeanor in all interactions with donors, employees, and vendors.
- Accept performance feedback professionally.
- Regular attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory position, preferably in a regulated industry; or an Associate’s Degree in Science or Business Management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Above-average problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Explicit attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure and technical manuals.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Requirements
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knee.
- Manual dexterity to perform all phases of donor plasmapheresis.
- Ability to make and analyze physical assessments, including heart and lung sounds and signs of drug use.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of up to four (4) hours at a time.
- Ability to lift, tug, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
