Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the donor center in the absence of the Director of Center Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to product quality, donor safety, and employee safety.
  • Collaborate with center leadership to develop action plans that maximize center efficiency.
  • Manage all personnel functions, including hiring, work assignments, training and development, disciplinary actions, termination, and maintenance of personnel records.
  • Determine and adjust inventory levels of goods and supplies necessary for donor center operations.
  • Construct and submit timely, accurate reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, or as-required basis.
  • Develop and implement active donor recruitment advertising campaigns to improve production levels.
  • Manage and develop talent within the donor center, including participating in the selection of new staff.
  • Participate in interviewing and selecting center staff.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals, resolve conflicts proactively, and maintain open communication.
  • Provide timely performance feedback and initiate disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Participate in the evaluation and review of center staff.
  • Direct and monitor the performance of outside vendors.
  • Maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, including Standard Operating Procedure Manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal company procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures, including any future updates.
  • Maintain open communication with management and a positive, professional demeanor in all interactions with donors, employees, and vendors.
  • Accept performance feedback professionally.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory position, preferably in a regulated industry; or an Associate’s Degree in Science or Business Management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Above-average problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Explicit attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure and technical manuals.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Requirements

  • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knee.
  • Manual dexterity to perform all phases of donor plasmapheresis.
  • Ability to make and analyze physical assessments, including heart and lung sounds and signs of drug use.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of up to four (4) hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift, tug, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
