Responsible for
- All aspects of the donor center in the absence of the Center Manager
- To be proficient in all areas of the donor collection process
- To ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to the quality and safety of products, donors, and employees
- To work with center leadership to develop action plans to maximize center efficiency
- To be responsible for all personnel functions including hiring, assignment and direction of work, development and training, disciplinary actions and termination, and the maintenance of all personnel records
- To determine the adequacy and adjust inventory levels of all goods and supplies necessary for the operation of the donor center
- To construct and submit timely and accurate reports on a daily/weekly/monthly or as required basis
- To collaborate with the training department to ensure that staff training is facilitated and training goals are met
- To develop and implement active donor recruitment advertising campaigns to improve production levels
- To manage and develop talent within the donor center
- To participate in the selection of new staff for the donor center
- To assist in the interviewing of center staff and assist in the selection of center staff
- To work collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals
- To communicate continuously and resolve conflicts proactively
- To provide timely feedback on performance and initiate disciplinary action when necessary
- To participate in the evaluation and review of center staff
- To direct and monitor the performance of outside vendors
- To learn and maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal Company Procedures
- To have thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future
- To maintain an open line of communication with Management
- To maintain the confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information
- To maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendors
- To accept performance feedback in a professional manner
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience including one (1) year experience in a supervisory position, preferably in a regulated industry or; Associate’s Degree in Science or Business Management

Physical Requirements
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knee
- Ability to sit for extended periods for up to four (4) hours at a time
- Ability to lift, tug, and pull up to twenty-five (25) pounds
Work Environment
- Typical work environment with moderate noise level
- May be exposed to freezing temperatures for short periods of time
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
