Assistant Manager: Freight Flow

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and profitability by leading logistics processes and fostering a customer-first culture
• Develop a high-performance team and maintain World Market's values, policies, and standards
• Utilize company tools and training resources to ensure team adherence to freight flow processes, visual execution standards, and stocking routines
• Coordinate with the Store Manager to plan freight processing and validate and maintain Loss Prevention policies and inventory management initiatives
• Maintain and manage stockroom organization and standards, analyze business trends, and problem-solve opportunities
• Exemplify and foster World Market's culture and values, support a safe work environment, and execute daily priorities

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering results, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, open to feedback, and quick to adapt
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates, de-escalate store and customer situations, and plan/prioritize according to business needs
• Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving, sound decision-making, effective delegation, and efficient execution
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture
• Flexible scheduling, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Standing for extended periods, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
