About the role
The Assistant Manager for the AAA Permits Office will oversee the administration and processing of archaeological permits in accordance with the Arizona Antiquities Act.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administrative functions of the AAA Permits Office
- Manage permit applications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with other museum departments to ensure seamless operations
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with applicants and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in archaeological management or related field
- Experience with state and federal permitting processes
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of archaeological principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
