About the role

The Assistant Manager for the AAA Permits Office will oversee the administration and processing of archaeological permits in accordance with the Arizona Antiquities Act.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administrative functions of the AAA Permits Office
  • Manage permit applications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with other museum departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with applicants and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in archaeological management or related field
  • Experience with state and federal permitting processes
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of archaeological principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
