Assistant Manager, Food Service (Vacation/Medical Benefits)

Responsibilities

• Aid the general manager in directing and coordinating activities of assigned staff.
• Ensure the operation runs properly and efficiently, meeting and exceeding budgeted goals.
• Supervise staff to enforce cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Conduct frequent inspections and audits to maintain effective operations.
• Order supplies daily.
• Maintain sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness.
• Manage all maintenance needs.
• Support the full-time manager with training, scheduling, and performance reviews of assigned personnel.
• Collaborate with the restaurant manager on departmental goals and objectives.
• Assist other Food and Beverage operations with special events.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent with some college education preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a fast-paced, large-volume setting preferred.
• Flexible work schedule required, mostly days with some evenings and weekends.
• Must be available for weekends and holidays.
• Work schedules may vary based on business demands.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary.
• A Food Service Sanitation Certificate is beneficial.
• Criminal background check required for all candidates.
