Assistant Manager Food Service Operation

About the role

The Assistant Manager Food Service Operations oversees food service operations at assigned galleys, ensuring cleanliness, proper preparation, and timely service. They provide supervision and training to a team of food service workers and temporary workforce staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the assigned meal is properly prepared and served in accordance with all contract requirements.
• Inspects all work areas before, during, and after meals to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Trains and supervises new hires and existing employees.
• Prepares daily work assignments for employees.
• Completes required documents and forms accurately and promptly.
• Implements and supports the organization's goals and strategic initiatives.
• Conducts research, evaluates data, and reports findings to inform policy and procedure development.
• Manages the food service operations budget, making informed decisions about vendors, systems, and projects.
• Participates in community engagement initiatives and volunteer opportunities.

Requirements

• Two years of college education or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
• Must pass the ServSafe test and maintain certification.
• Ability to manage an hourly workforce of 20 to 100 employees.
• Own vehicle and valid driver's license, with REAL ID requirement.
