Assistant Manager

About the Role

Panda Express is searching for experienced leaders to join our store management team. As an Assistant Manager, you are in charge of assisting the operation of a single store, including hiring, managing, and directing associates to achieve financial goals and ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. We provide a 3+ week store leadership training program to prepare you for success.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of a single Panda Express store
• Hire, manage, and direct associates to meet financial goals
• Ensure delivery of exceptional guest experiences
• Work flexible hours, including opening/closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
• Maintain food safety standards (Serve Safe certified)

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Must be flexible to relocate to a store within a 50-mile radius of your home
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Effective verbal communication and conflict management skills
• Physical ability to:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for up to four hours
  • Reach across 36-inch countertops
  • Work in hot, noisy kitchens with high shelves and limited storage
  • Use kitchen equipment (e.g., Chinese cook knife) quickly and accurately

Pay

Pay range: $25–$28 per hour. Individual pay is determined by work location and experience. Bonuses are not guaranteed and may change or terminate at any time.
