Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations
- Set the example by following all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your crew does the same
- Operate all equipment and stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler
- Prepare product and receive/process telephone orders
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean equipment and facility daily
- Manage staffing, cost controls, cash control, food management, and scheduling
- Maintain perfect image and adherence to standards, great customer service, attendance, and punctuality
- Ensure store cleanliness, marketing efforts, and profitability
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Verbal communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change
- Motor coordination for rapid and accurate movements, including use of a computer keyboard or touch screen
Work Conditions
Exposure to:
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash or performing other outside tasks
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes
- Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust
- Cramped quarters, including walk-in cooler
- Hot surfaces/tools (oven up to 500°F or higher)
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
Sensory requirements:
- Talking and hearing on telephone
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
Temperament requirements:
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others

Physical Demands
- Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position on ceramic tile/linoleum surfaces; work surfaces between 36" and 48" high
- Walking: Short distances for short durations
- Sitting: Paperwork completed in an office at a desk or table
- Lifting: Unloading bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck; stacking cases onto shelves up to 72" high
- Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray, carried three at a time)
- Pushing: Moving trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs); pulling trays may also be required
- Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders to change prices, wash walls, or perform maintenance
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station (30-45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously); also required at front counter and when stocking ingredients
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks such as turning oven controls, scooping cornmeal, or obtaining ingredients
- Hand Tasks: Continuous use of hands; frequent and forceful use of forearms/wrists for shaping dough; manipulation of pizza peel, rolling cutter, and cardboard boxes; grasping cans, phone, and other tools
Additional Requirements for Delivery Experts & Store Management
Job Duties
- Deliver product by car and to customer’s door
- Deliver flyers and door hangers
- Requires valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery
Essential Skills
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain (multi-story buildings, private homes, etc.) while carrying product
Physical Demands
- Carrying: Pizzas, sides, and beverages during delivery while performing walking and climbing duties
- Driving: Deliveries within a designated area; multiple deliveries per shift
- Walking: Between store and delivery vehicle, and from vehicle to customer’s location
- Climbing: Up to five or more flights of stairs during deliveries
