About the role
The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in the proper physical and mechanical upkeep of the property. They will fulfill customer service requests, complete daily rounds, perform repairs, and maintain the property's cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill customer service requests promptly as assigned
- Complete daily rounds and check mechanical equipment, recreational facilities, and any other functional or safety concerns
- Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and heating system repairs
- Prepare and turn over vacant units/suites
- Clean grounds and common areas
- Perform light carpentry work, drywall repairs, and finish work
- Take touch-up painting
- Take after-hours "on-call" duties as assigned
- Immediately address areas posing risks to life safety (e.g., fire alarms, trip hazards)
Requirements
- High school diploma
- HVAC certification
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Attention to detail and sense of urgency in completing job tasks
- Able to follow instructions efficiently
- Able to maintain a friendly, professional attitude with prospects, residents, and colleagues
