Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

As one of our Assistant Maintenance Supervisors, you are the Maintenance Supervisor’s right-hand. You provide complete support to the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in upholding community and corporate standards, policies, and procedures. You inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services, assist Maintenance Technicians as required, ensure all safety measures are enforced, and report all major repairs and need requisitions to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete support to the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in upholding community and corporate standards, policies, and procedures
• Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services
• Affords assistance to Maintenance Technicians as required to meet deadlines
• Ensures that all safety measures are enforced
• Schedules daily activities efficiently, monitoring for quality and quantity
• Reports all major repairs and need requisitions to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager prior to any expenditure of funds
• Maintains shop, company equipment, ample supplies, inventory control, and ensures key security
• Performs inspections of tour routes and models to ensure they look their best
• Provides excellent customer service to all prospective and existing residents and your teammates

Requirements

• One (1) year experience in all maintenance related skills
• Proven ability to adapt to new technologies
• Proficient in writing, speaking, and understanding the English language
• Ability to use computers and related applications
• Meets all physical requirements and able to take direction
• Has a sense of humor – seriously be funny!
