Assistant Machine Operator - Starting Pay $26.33 -Night Shift 6pm-6am

About the role

The Assistant Machine Operator is responsible for supporting production line efficiency by packaging finished products and assisting with extrusion operations in a vinyl siding facility. Key responsibilities include maintaining an organized work area, completing required documentation, conducting safety checks, operating auxiliary equipment, and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in accordance with safety standards and procedures
• Conduct routine safety checks and report hazards immediately
• Maintain compliance with environmental and housekeeping standards
• Package products to specification under supervision
• Support production line operations by monitoring product quality, assisting with line checks, and managing materials
• Operate auxiliary equipment, clear jams, manage scrap and regrind, assist with changeovers, and maintain packaging supplies
• Maintain compliance with quality standards by identifying, isolating, and reporting defects

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Basic computer skills
• Technical School / Trade School / Skilled Trade education preferred
• Forklift / Mobile Equipment License preferred
• Experience using hand tools and measuring devices preferred

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to seasonal temperatures in winter and summer
• Medium industrial environment with significant standing, walking, and frequent lifting
• May involve working from ladders and stairs
• May involve shoveling and operating equipment such as auto-banders and pallet jacks

Pay

$26.33 per hour, plus a shift differential of $1.00/hour. Potential for bonuses based on company and individual performance.

Schedule

Shifts available: Day (6AM-6PM), Night (6PM-6AM), 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule. Training occurs on the day shift for 1-2 weeks before shift assignment.
