Assistant/Lead Housekeeper

About the Role

The Assistant/Supervisor Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and common areas of the hotel to ensure they are ready for guests, adhering to Marriott Standard policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff
• Assign daily tasks to housekeeping team members
• Maintain room quality based on hotel objectives
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and public areas
• Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to the front office
• Oversee all housekeeping duties
• Maintain productivity and labor cost goals
• Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories, and cleaning supplies
• Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment
• Ensure quality services are rendered to meet guest needs and enhance guest relations
• Ensure satisfactory scores with the brand by preparing for audits, evaluating results, and collaborating with management and the team on necessary improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility
• Minimum of 2 years Supervisory Experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays
