Responsibilities
- Maintain records including repairs needed, lost and found items, and quality of work completed by employees
- Inspect rooms to ensure they are up to property standards
- Ensure Guest Room Attendants (GRAs) conform to health laws and standards set by the property
- Work closely with the Front Desk to ensure guests receive clean rooms in a timely manner
- Work with Engineering to ensure maintenance concerns are handled appropriately
- Work with scheduling to ensure proper staffing levels
- Manage assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, division, and property
- Manage and monitor fiscal budget and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability for the property
- Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the property’s core service standards and brand attributes
- Provide input into research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure the property’s competitive position and anticipate changing customer needs
- Manage Human Resources responsibilities including:
- Creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
- Quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the Company’s diversity commitment
- Compliance with Company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements
- Coordinate turn-down services and other special requests made by VIP Services and VIP guests
- Control expenses by voluntary staff reductions when necessary
- Instruct employees and new hires on cleaning products used in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) chemical Right to Know standards
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Qualifications
- At least two years of Housekeeping Supervisory experience required
- Previous experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and OSHA regulations preferred
- Excellent customer service skills are necessary
- Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
