Assistant Land Project Manager

About the Role

Responsible for coordinating land development project workflow and activities, from pulling construction permits to turnover and bond exoneration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning and coordination efforts with vertical construction
• Coordinate land development construction with power, telephone, and gas companies
• Manage development trades and schedules in accordance with Division goals
• Support entitlement staff in preparation of budgets and schedules
• Assist in preparing cost analyses
• Support trade bidding and contracting efforts
• Prepare and track work orders and forward to contract administration for payment
• Support field efforts related to storm water and air pollution compliance
• Monitor progress of land development projects
• Provide Project Manager with reports on progress and issues needing attention
• Assist in delivering projects according to quality, timing, and budget specifications
• Assist Project Manager with special projects or other activities as required

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License (driving is an essential function of this position)
• Minimum of 3 years of related functional experience
• Experience with material testing or survey is a plus
• Strong computer and contract skills
