Assistant Instructor - Water Sports

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Storekeeper to join our team at Villa Park, a magical isle in South Ari Atoll. The Water Sports Assistant Instructor is responsible for assisting with the operation of water sports activities in a safe and appropriate manner, adhering to Q Adventure Standard & Operation Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all water sports activities according to established guidelines and maintain a clean, tidy, and secure environment for all equipment.
• Assist skilled professionals in performing their duties under close supervision of senior staff.
• Strictly comply with hotel policies and government safety regulations for water sports facilities.
• Attend to guests promptly and answer telephone calls within three rings or fifteen seconds with professional greetings.
• Assist instructors in all activities at the water sports center, including planning and managing boat trips, catamaran sailing excursions, and other water-based activities.
• Promote sales and maintain materials, machinery, equipment, and consumables properly.
• Attend weekly meetings conducted by the water sports in-charge.
• Ensure guest safety and security at all times.
• Assist and conduct practical courses in the absence of the instructor.
• Manage and conduct daily maintenance services for motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Report faulty equipment, problems, and suggestions for improvement to the base leader.
• Update water sports administration software and maintain required reports and records.

Requirements

• Assistant Instructor Course - VDWS
• Water Sports Assistant Course - Villa Collage
• Boat Captain License
• Two years of experience in the Water Sports field (experience in a related field will be an added advantage)

Qualifications

Alternatively, the following qualifications are acceptable:

• Basic Emergency First Response License
• Basic Surf Rescue - SLSA
• Wind Surfing Basic License - VDWS/RYA
• Sailing Basic License - VDWS/RYA
• GCE A Level or Diploma in Business Management or Marine Biology
