About the role
The Teaching Assistant’s role is to assist the instructor in teaching the students, maintaining safety and order, and ensuring an excellent experience. The teaching assistant is responsible for engaging the students and having them practice while the instructor is teaching an individual student. Previous experience is not necessary, but a love for working with children and a positive personality are essential. Upholding a team-mentality where all employees support each other and are excited to teach is FUNdamental!
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of every student in your class
- Encourage and celebrate student progress while building water confidence
- Create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment during every shift
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and fellow team members
- Complete required training and actively seek feedback and growth opportunities
- Be a dependable team player who supports fellow instructors and the overall success of the pool deck
