Summary
This role serves as the operational backbone of the Innovation & Growth Strategy department, providing dedicated executive support to the EVP while also coordinating workflows, communications, and logistics across the broader Innovation & Growth Strategy team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping a high-performing team organized and effective.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Answering phones, coordinating travel arrangements, and calendar management
- Preparing and tracking payment of expense reports
- Supporting department invoice processing & tracking
- Facilitating department logistics for internal and external meetings, including off-site logistics, as necessary
- Interacting with a wide range of organizational personnel and external parties of all levels, including senior executives, NHL Clubs, vendors, league partners, and prospective partners
- Managing and coordinating all department event logistics for NHL tentpole events (e.g., Winter Classic, All Star, Stadium Series, Stanley Cup Playoffs) including ticket & suite management, hotel reservations, corporate hospitality, and VIP experience
- Completing standard administrative duties as well as responsibility for administrative projects
- Identifying opportunities to enhance team processes, improve communication, and support operational efficiency
- Other miscellaneous/departmental related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Knowledge Areas/Experience Required: Prior experience in a support role, Excellent technology skills including fluency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary
- Preferred Experience: At a League, sports team or media property, Understanding of the NHL, our teams and events
- Education/Certifications: College degree Required
- Skills: Must be self-motivated, well organized, and be able to handle multiple projects, Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, High degree of interpersonal skills and ability to deal with diverse groups of people, including C-level, senior executives, League staff, team personnel, and corporate partners, Able to work with minimum supervision while displaying a sense of ownership and a high level of confidence in all tasks, Excellent prioritization and time management skills with the ability to recognize and adapt to rapidly changing demands, Must be adaptable, flexible and be detail oriented, Able to work with minimum supervision while displaying a sense of ownership and a high level of confidence in all tasks, Willingness to travel and keep flexible hours required

Pay
SALARY RANGE: $75-85K Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
