Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Candlewood Suites St. Charles is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor to support the housekeeping department in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role is hands-on and requires working alongside the housekeeping team to ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet IHG cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of all guest rooms and public areas.
• Ensure compliance with IHG cleanliness standards and company policies.
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff to improve performance and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Address guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues that may affect housekeeping operations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping or related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of IHG cleanliness standards and hotel operations.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$17.75 hourly

Schedule

Variable schedule to include evenings and weekends.
