About the role

Nestled along the picturesque East River waterfront, Apple Rehab Guilford offers a serene setting for its 86-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. Our intimate and cozy home boasts rooms with stunning water views and sun-drenched atriums that bathe in natural light, providing residents with a comfortable and uplifting environment.

Key Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning duties in assigned areas within the facility, including resident rooms and bathrooms, according to specified schedules and established cleanliness benchmarks.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained to minimize health risks.
  • Efficiently manage time and coordinate tasks with other staff members to minimize disruptions to residents and staff during cleaning procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area and department, promoting a hygienic and orderly environment.
  • Under direct supervision and direction, perform all tasks involved with a complete floor maintenance program, transport supplies and materials, and assist in general, quality maintenance services.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of the physical plant and grounds, equipment, and various building systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading labels and following both oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to maintain composure and take appropriate actions in high-pressure or stressful situations.
  • Proficient visual assessment skills covering all facets of the facility.
  • Capability to differentiate between smells and temperatures, and responsiveness to audible pages.
  • Physical capabilities including walking, reaching, bending, lifting (up to approximately 40 pounds), grasping, pulling, stretching, stooping, and fine hand coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with the demands and nuances of such environments.
