Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the nursing department, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care
- Verify proper distribution and documentation of medication, treatments, and orders
- Participate in regular resident assessments and service planning, and follow up with ancillary health care services as needed
- Assist with the move-in and move-out process, including tours, orientation, evaluations, and family communications
- Provide direct care when needed, such as during health emergencies or to fill an open shift
- Assume the Health Care Director’s responsibilities in their absence and relay concerns to the Director
Requirements
- Current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state
- At least 1 year of prior relevant experience
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably in senior living (preferred)
