Major Duties

• Affiliate with the group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with activity instructors to support lessons.
• Assist the group leader with engaging activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and craft, and special events.
• Collect attendance folders and other data as necessary.
• Supervise participants throughout the afterschool program.
• Distribute snacks and assist with clean-up.
• Maintain the rules of the program and uphold the afterschool model.
• Follow all GSS, DYCD, and SACC regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and ability to work with other youth.
• Must be available during the program hours listed above.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
