Summary

The Grocery Team Lead is responsible for providing fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service. They assist the Grocery Manager with daily operations including product merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, plan-o-grams, displays, rotation, and inventory levels. They also handle ordering, unloading, training, and ensuring compliance with company and state regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work consistently to provide excellent customer service.
• Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers after fulfilling their requests.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Assist the Grocery Manager with day-to-day operations such as product merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, plan-o-grams, displays, rotation, and inventory levels.
• Order all merchandise and supplies for the Grocery department and meet transmission times. Store excess product in the back room or designated area.
• Maintain high levels of customer courtesy and service.
• Handle front-end services as needed.
• Maintain adherence to company and state sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations.
• Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks.
• Aid in the training and development of new associates in grocery operations.
• Assist the store manager as needed.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
