Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach - Albemarle HS

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the girls volleyball program at Albemarle High School.

Responsibilities

• Coaching volleyball at the middle and high school age levels
• Attending practices between 4:30 - 6:30 M-F and later on game nights
• Working collaboratively with other coaches and staff
• Developing and training student-athletes
• Ensuring adherence to VHSL rules and regulations
• Providing instruction to student-athletes
• Making regular travel arrangements with student-athletes to and from matches
• Maintaining regular contact with coaches, administrators, parents, and the media

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations
• Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes
• Positive relations with high school student-athletes, parents, and the community
• Extensive knowledge of the principles of individual and team fundamentals of volleyball
• Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules
• Ability to develop a solid discipline that emphasizes team work and good sportsmanship
• Previous coaching experience is required
• Prior to employment, candidates must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license
