About the Role

Wingstop is seeking leaders with entrepreneurial spirit and a track record of achieving goals to join our team as General Managers and Assistant General Managers. This role provides strategic and tactical leadership for the restaurant, focusing on people development, sales, and profit growth. The ideal candidate will hire, train, and develop team members who share Wingstop’s mission to Serve the World Flavor, fostering a culture of hard work, fun, and dedication to the brand’s success.

Responsibilities

  • People Management: Staff the restaurant efficiently with carefully selected team members. Ensure a safe environment for both team members and guests. Oversee orientation, onboarding, and shift leader development. Make final hiring and separation decisions while following proper procedures. Create team member schedules balancing staffing needs, payroll, and overtime costs. Foster a culture of respect, recognition, and reward.
  • Financial Management: Audit operations, provide feedback, and develop solutions for improvement. Understand budget and cost trends, create a business plan, and perform financial analysis. Control cash, property, product, and equipment. Build sales while managing labor and food costs to meet all targets set by Operations Leadership.
  • Operations Management: Maintain operational standards and address maintenance issues with the Facilities Department. Ensure facilities meet Wingstop’s company standards. Communicate effectively across the organization, from District Manager to every team member. Use company tools to coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Ensure compliance with risk management standards.
  • Act as an ambassador for Wingstop’s culture and mission to Serve the World Flavor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of previous food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability in recruiting and selecting team members.
  • Knowledge of labor laws.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Initiative, assertiveness, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and motivate a diverse, highly engaged team.
  • Passion for hospitality and guest service.
  • Flexibility to work 50–60 hours per week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to accept feedback.
  • Goal-setting ability with actionable implementation plans.
  • Ability to measure performance both subjectively and objectively.
