About the role

Jared is a division of Signet Jewelers, a company dedicated to inspiring love through jewelry. The Jared Assistant General Manager oversees all operations in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring customer satisfaction, achieving sales targets, and managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Assumes duties of General Manager in absence
• Maintain customer satisfaction as top priority
• Achieve store sales projections
• Focus on standards achievement among all associates
• Enforce policies and procedures to maintain store profits
• Support sales training, store meetings, and role plays
• Recruit and screen personnel as necessary
• Understand and enforce all store policies and practices
• Provide expert knowledge about merchandise
• Complete Diamontology and GIA Gemology courses
• Earn respect from others
• Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
• Monitor customer flow and shift personnel as needed
• Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally
• Implement and administer merchandise and advertising programs
• Develop technical knowledge of repairs and custom design services
• Monitor inventory control and assist in store maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Adhere to security and loss prevention policies

Requirements

• Completed Information Security Privacy Awareness Quiz with passing score
• Completed Safety First Quiz or 2016 Safety Curriculum
• No Code of Conduct counseling within the past six months
• Met expectations or achieved requirements on last Performance Appraisal
• Completed Minimum Training Requirements training module and quiz

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Exact pay will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is flexible and may vary based on the needs of the business. During non-peak periods, the ideal work week is typically five days, 40 hours. Shifts may include both opening and closing times to ensure proper coverage and training of the team. During peak selling periods, hours may increase accordingly.
