Assistant General Manager

About the role
Assists in managing daily operations of a mixed-use or multifamily residential property, including managing and directing all personnel and resources to maximize cash flow potential. Oversees security, maintenance, and housekeeping functions while providing excellent goods and services to the community. Directs property employees by establishing job requirements and responsibilities, monitoring work quality, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Manages staff, provides training and coaching, and delivers performance feedback.
Ensures compliance with all permits, codes, and laws, addressing violations and Certificate of Occupancy issues. Participates in the overall direction of property management activities, with a focus on the operation, repair, and maintenance of the physical asset. Handles financial reporting, budget preservation, resident relations, lease administration, occupant safety, sales analysis, and parking operations.
Serves as a liaison between residents and ownership, addressing resident questions and concerns, administering lease requirements, and encouraging resident participation in property initiatives. Assists in developing and managing the property budget, tracking income and expenses, and addressing collection issues. Maintains communication with local authorities for emergency response.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years in property operations/management, with a background in engineering, maintenance, or general operations of a large-scale property.
- At least 5 years of experience preferred.
- Excellent oral, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with residents, employees, and community leaders.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, business acumen, and financial skills.
Pay
$76,900 - $107,625 annually
